Billing Optimization Analyst

Job Summary

To enhance hospital billing processes, the full-time Billing Optimization Analyst will evaluate and resolve barriers to accurate claim submissions while collaborating with various teams to improve clean-claim performance and accelerate revenue capture in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the hospital claim-generation lifecycle from coding and charge capture to claim validation and transmission
• Research and resolve billing edits, claim splits, bill holds, rejections, and other exceptions that delay claims
• Analyze recurring claim barriers to identify root causes and recommend practical resolutions

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of hospital billing experience with hands-on claim resolution
• Working knowledge of the end-to-end institutional claim lifecycle and relevant billing rules
• Familiarity with UB-04 and 837I requirements, revenue codes, and payer-specific edits
• Proficiency in Excel for analyzing billing data and trends
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
