Billing Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Billing Representative will reconcile medical claims, manage payments and denials, and ensure compliance with billing standards while focusing on increasing cash flow and reducing bad debt.

Key responsibilities

• Apply payments and denials to third-party carriers and interpret Explanation of Benefits for follow-up actions
• Contact third-party carriers to resolve denied claims and handle written billing inquiries from patients
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards and meet established production and quality standards

Required qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience or completion of a medical administration course
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to type 55 WPM with 95% accuracy
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
