Billing Representative

Job Summary

To optimize claim submission operations, the part-time Billing Representative will process paper and electronic claims, ensure accurate and timely submissions, and communicate with payers to enhance reimbursement while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit paper and electronic claims with complete information to maximize reimbursement
• Review work queues and claim scrubber edits to prevent denials and expedite first-time payments
• Research and communicate regulatory changes affecting billing, making recommendations for system improvements

Required qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, revenue services, or coding
• Medical certification or degree preferred
