Billing Services Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising a dynamic team in a remote full-time capacity, the Billing Services Supervisor will manage billing operations, oversee claims coding specialists, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while enhancing workflow efficiency and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises the operations of a cross-disciplinary team providing billing services and ensures compliance with regulations
• Manages the billing cycle related to medical coding, claims administration, and financial counseling, resolving billing issues as necessary
• Develops and implements procedures to optimize revenue generation and conducts performance evaluations for team members

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Public Administration, or Hospital Administration
• Three years of relevant experience, with at least one year in a senior level or team lead role preferred (or equivalent experience based on education level)
• Hands-on experience with research charge review or significant experience in a research-related environment
• Knowledge of charge review and a working understanding of accounts receivable (AR)
• Previous supervisory or management experience leading a team of five or more employees is preferred but not required
