Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting a Specialty Infusion Pharmacy, the full-time Billing Specialist will manage insurance and self-pay billing, excluding Medicare, while working remotely and ensuring the accurate submission of medical claims.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to various payers based on contracted agreements
• Review claims for pricing discrepancies and create secondary electronic pharmacy and medical claims
• Coordinate with the pharmacy team to address PBM issues and ensure timely billing

Required qualifications:

• 2 years of home infusion billing experience is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of HCPC coding and medical terminology
• Experience in providing customer service to internal and external customers
• Working knowledge of ICD10, CPT, NCCI, and standard billing regulations
