Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the financial operations of a medical practice, the full-time Billing Specialist will be responsible for the timely review and submission of medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, taking initiative to obtain missing information for timely claims submission
• Adhere to billing guidelines and communicate with clinic personnel and insurance companies to ensure proper documentation is included
• Identify the appropriate party to be billed and complete required billing checklists prior to submission

Required qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum good fit for the job as determined by the Talent Bullseye assessment
• Experience in a medical office preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen and/or OnBase) is a plus
• Knowledge of DME/Orthotic practices is advantageous
