Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for the timely review and submission of medical claims, the full-time Billing Specialist will work remotely to ensure accuracy in patient billing, obtain necessary information for claim submissions, and adhere to insurance guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness in a timely manner
• Obtain missing information to ensure accurate and timely claim submissions
• Communicate with clinic personnel and insurance companies to ensure proper billing procedures are followed

Required qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• Experience in a medical office preferred
• Knowledge of insurance rules and guidelines, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Familiarity with EMR systems (NextGen and/or OnBase) is a plus
• Ability to pass the Talent Bullseye assessment as part of the selection process
