Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote Billing Specialist will prepare and submit patient claims to third-party payers, review claims for compliance with billing requirements, and resolve patient billing inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and maintain patient documentation for accurate claim submission and billing data updates
• Review patient charts and communicate with clinical staff to clarify information and ensure completeness
• Process and submit insurance claims, monitor claim acceptance, and identify denial patterns for management reporting

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing and payment processing
• Medical coding experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
