Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the financial health of the organization, the full-time remote Billing Specialist will manage aged accounts, resolve billing issues, and ensure accurate collection of patient accounts while collaborating with internal teams and payers.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve delinquent accounts receivable across various payer types, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims to maximize reimbursement and document collection activities in the EMR
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and meet departmental productivity and cash collection goals

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare billing or accounts receivable experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Experience with denials management and accounts receivable follow-up
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
• Must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
