Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating and facilitating all billing activities, the full-time Billing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate billing by managing patient accounts and utilizing technology to produce clean claims while telecommuting.

Key responsibilities

• Bill both electronically and manually, utilizing technology to produce clean claims
• Analyze coding and interpret claims processing reports to ensure proper billing of claims
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory billing requirements and prioritize work to maximize turnaround time

Required qualifications

• Experience in billing and coding within a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of insurance and CMS regulations
• Ability to interpret claims processing reports
• Proficiency in electronic billing systems and technology
• Participation in educational programs to maintain skill competency
