Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating and facilitating all billing activities, the full-time Billing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate billing for patient accounts while telecommuting during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Bill both electronically and manually, utilizing technology to produce clean claims
• Interpret claims processing reports and analyze coding to ensure proper billing of claims
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory billing requirements and prioritize accounts to maximize turnaround time

Required qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or a related field
• Knowledge of insurance and CMS regulations
• Ability to interpret claims processing reports
• Familiarity with electronic billing systems
• Participation in educational programs to maintain skills and competencies
