Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Billing Specialist will manage premium payment exceptions, process payments, and communicate with insureds and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely premium administration.
Key responsibilities
- Review premium reports to identify exceptions and research discrepancies requiring correction
- Process premium payments accurately through electronic payment systems and support the balance-due process
- Communicate with insureds and producers to resolve premium-report discrepancies and obtain missing information
Required qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for education
- Prior insurance-industry experience required, with a focus on premium billing and payment processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data organization and record maintenance
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
