Billing Specialist Certification Required

Job Summary

Working fully remotely, the full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist (Biller) will manage patient phone calls, work denials and accounts receivable reports, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding AR while maintaining compliance with billing guidelines, requiring a Billing Specialist Certification.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform initial charge reviews to determine appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for physician services
• Review and research insurance denials in a timely manner, ensuring effective follow-up on outstanding accounts
• Collaborate with RMC team members to ensure account accuracy and communicate payer billing guidelines effectively

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED completion required
• Billing or Coding Certification (CPC, CPC-A, COPC, CPB) or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months
• Two years of experience with CPT ICD-10 coding of physician services preferred
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Knowledge of current third-party billing and collection regulatory guidelines
