Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable, the full-time Billing Specialist - Illinois Licensed will ensure accurate billing of insurance claims, validate coverage, and resolve errors while working remotely during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and resolving insurance setup errors to facilitate timely billing and payment processing
• Submitting claims for assigned payers and following up on outstanding receivables through various communication methods
• Reviewing and processing prior authorizations and ensuring accuracy of work orders and billing requirements

Required qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Medicaid authorization
• Proficiency in Excel data entry and spreadsheet management
• Knowledge of billing guidelines and payer rules
• Experience in accounts receivable and insurance claims processing
