BIM/VDC Engineering Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote BIM/VDC Engineering Services Specialist - QA/QC, this role will manage quality assurance and quality control reviews of shop drawings and BIM models for water and wastewater treatment facility projects, ensuring accuracy and constructability while collaborating with project teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive QA/QC reviews of shop drawings, BIM models, and project deliverables for water and wastewater projects
- Evaluate constructability and identify potential installation challenges prior to fabrication or field execution
- Collaborate with BIM/VDC Specialists and Project Managers to communicate findings and drive resolution of issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a similar field with 2+ years of related experience
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment facility construction and piping systems
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Ability to create and update BIM/VDC models with current construction documents and specifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills focused on practical solutions
