Job Summary
To support pharmaceutical research and disease biomarker discovery, the remote Bioinformatics Scientist will design and implement NGS data analysis workflows, analyze omics data, and develop innovative analysis approaches while working during EST hours.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy NGS data analysis workflows for therapeutic target identification
- Analyze diverse datasets to identify relevant drug discovery targets related to immune diseases
- Automate data processing and results reporting while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining data integrity
Required qualifications
- Master's degree with 1+ years of experience in a related scientific discipline, or Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in a STEM field
- Experience with analyzing next-generation sequencing (NGS) and multi-omics data integration
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, and UNIX/Linux
- Familiarity with bioinformatics databases and computational biology tools
- Ability to produce well-designed and documented code for data analysis
