Job Summary
Providing technical and regulatory expertise, the full-time Biomedical Engineer - Maryland Licensed will conduct comprehensive reviews of diagnostic ultrasound and medical imaging device submissions in a fully remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical and scientific reviews of medical device submissions, including 510(k) and PMA applications
- Evaluate diagnostic ultrasound systems and associated technologies for safety, effectiveness, and clinical utility
- Prepare written technical reviews and scientific assessments to support regulatory decision-making and policy implementation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in biomedical engineering or medical imaging devices
- Demonstrated experience in the research, development, or evaluation of diagnostic ultrasound hardware and software systems
- Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in medical imaging applications
- Strong technical writing skills for preparing scientific assessments and regulatory reviews
