BMT Data Support Specialist

Job Summary

Providing essential support to the BMT Data team, the full-time remote BMT Data Support Specialist will assist in the accurate selection and entry of cancer and blood and marrow transplantation data into the BMT program database while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the accurate selection of cancer and transplantation data from medical records in compliance with CIBMTR and NMDP standards
• Support data entry into the BMT program database (BRAIN) and manage patient-specific data reporting
• Ensure compliance with internal BMT program goals and maintain data integrity

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; Associate's degree in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, or related field preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of data entry and data management experience in medical record keeping
• Experience with medical data entry into electronic relational databases
• Experience in a medical research facility
• Preferred: Two (2) or more years of relevant experience, particularly in oncology or blood and marrow transplantation data
