Building Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Focusing on the review and oversight of Building Automation Systems (BAS) for data center projects, the full-time remote Service Engineer 5 will manage engineering deliverables, ensure compliance with specifications, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Key responsibilities
- Review BAS designs, engineering deliverables, and controls schematics to ensure quality and compliance
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and facility engineering teams to address design reviews and field issues
- Support construction and commissioning activities by validating system performance and resolving technical challenges
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical or data center construction environments
- Proficiency with major Direct Digital Control (DDC) platforms and building automation protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
- Experience with design and documentation tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Visio
- Hands-on experience in reviewing controls engineering deliverables and supporting commissioning activities
