Building Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Providing program oversight in the operation and maintenance of building automation systems, the full-time Building Automation Engineer will ensure efficiency, comply with regulations, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a total facilities systems management program for various electrical, mechanical, life, and safety systems
• Inspect systems to ensure operational conditions meet client specifications and oversee work performed by outside contractors
• Respond to emergency situations and perform assigned repairs and preventive maintenance while completing necessary records

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Licenses or certifications as required by local law or ordinance
• Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
