Burmese Remote Interpreter

Job Summary

To facilitate effective communication, the contracted Burmese Remote Consecutive Interpreter will provide interpretation services during phone calls and meetings, ensuring clarity and understanding while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services during various over-the-phone situations
• Listen to the speaker in the source language and accurately convey the message in the target language
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and comply with company protocols and industry best practices

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of experience or 3000 hours of active interpretation
• Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages)
• Proof of English language proficiency with a "technical proficiency" on the national ILR rating or equivalent
• Completion of Mock Call assessment with a passing score
• Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments (headset, stable internet, laptop)
