Business Data Analyst III

Job Summary

To support the Department of Veterans Affairs' Agile and Atlassian Cloud modernization initiatives, the full-time remote Business Data Analyst III will manage business process discovery, quantitative analysis, and operational reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Document current Jira usage and processes, analyze data, and maintain data quality for agile and portfolio metrics
• Develop and administer readiness surveys and structured interviews with stakeholders to assess needs and support delivery-wave sequencing
• Create analyses and presentations using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to communicate findings and recommendations to operational and leadership audiences

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, business administration, information systems, statistics, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, process analysis, reporting, or quantitative analysis
• Experience with Jira reporting and data extraction, along with strong Excel and hands-on Power BI or Tableau skills
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews, document requirements, and validate data quality
• Atlassian ACP-120 certification or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management certification is preferred
