Business Development Specialist

Job Summary

Motivated and commercially focused, the full-time salaried Business Development Specialist will support the growth of fire engineering and building safety services across the UK and Ireland by identifying client opportunities, managing relationships, and coordinating proposals in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop business opportunities by identifying relevant client groups such as developers, architects, and public bodies
• Follow up on leads and bid opportunities while providing clear explanations of services to clients
• Maintain an organized opportunity pipeline and support proposal preparation with technical colleagues and marketing

Required Qualifications:

• Degree-level qualification preferred, and/or at least two years' experience in business development or a similar client-facing role
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement portals and tender monitoring
• Experience in professional services or engineering consultancy related to fire safety or the built environment preferred
