Business Intelligence Architect
Job Summary
Leading the data warehouse and reporting transformation for a key financial institution client, the full-time remote Business Intelligence Architect will manage the migration from a Microsoft SQL Server platform to a modern data platform using Snowflake and Sigma, while maintaining existing operations and developing new data models and reports.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for migrating the client's data warehouse and reporting environment to Snowflake and Sigma
- Design and document ETL data flows and target-state data models to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining existing reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate migration progress and potential issues to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data architecture and business intelligence
- 3-5 years of experience in a traditional financial institution (bank or credit union)
- Proficient in SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Snowflake, and Sigma
- Strong knowledge of data modeling tools and ETL processes
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
