Business Intelligence Developer
Job Summary
Owning the end-to-end delivery of Power BI reporting and analytics solutions, the remote contract Business Intelligence Developer will manage the entire Power BI lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modeling, development, deployment, and performance optimization while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of Power BI solutions from design to deployment and ongoing enhancements
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into semantic models, dashboards, and reports
- Design and maintain scalable semantic models using dimensional modeling and star schema principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience developing Power BI reports and semantic models
- Advanced experience with DAX and Power Query
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema design
- Experience implementing row-level security and access controls within Power BI
