Business Process Engineer
Job Summary
To support federal government clients, the full-time Business Process Engineer will analyze and optimize engineering workflows, facilitate Digital Thread and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) modernization, and bridge technical requirements across engineering and compliance teams while working onsite at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
Key Responsibilities
- Map end-to-end engineering lifecycle processes and conduct stakeholder interviews to identify inefficiencies and critical decision points
- Perform gap analyses between legacy workflows and modern PLM architectures, designing future-state process frameworks
- Define requirements and establish governance structures for enterprise software asset management and configuration control
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or IT with 10-15 years of relevant experience; advanced degrees may substitute for experience
- Experience supporting DOE/NNSA National Laboratories or high-consequence defense facilities with strict configuration control
- Proficiency in mapping process architectures using PTC tools or equivalent PLM/ALM suites
- Hands-on experience with enterprise PLM platforms and integration with CAD, PDM, and ERP systems
- Familiarity with industry-standard process modeling tools and requirements management platforms
