Business Unit Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on and analytical Business Unit Controller, the remote position will oversee financial operations for software business units, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic financial reporting while collaborating closely with the CFO and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned business unit(s) in compliance with Partner One policies and US GAAP
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including revenue recognition and preparation of financial statements
• Monitor business unit performance against targets, providing variance analyses to support informed decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in the software industry
• Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics and revenue recognition principles
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite, along with strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated success in building teams and developing staff in a fast-paced, remote environment
