Job Summary
To support the Air Force IPV customer, the remote Buyer will manage purchasing activities, including analyzing requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining supplier relations while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize automated procurement systems to manage orders, receipts, and shipments of materials
- Analyze purchase requisitions for authorization, specifications, and delivery requirements, and issue requests for quotations
- Track commercial purchases and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and fair pricing
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of supply chain management and purchasing experience
- Experience with automated purchasing and maintenance management systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with co-workers and vendors
