CAD Drafter
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and self-motivated, the full-time contract Designer / CAD Drafter will support mechanical design and documentation activities by creating 3D models and engineering drawings, applying GD&T standards, and collaborating with engineering teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for mechanical components and assemblies
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14 standards
- Document, revise, and release drawings and related files in Agile PLM
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter, Designer, or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Creo Parametric (preferred) or SolidWorks (acceptable)
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing practices
- Experience creating detailed part drawings and complex assembly drawings
- Familiarity with Agile PLM or similar product lifecycle management systems
