CAD Drafter/Designer
Job Summary
To support a growing client base, the contracted CAD Drafter/Designer will create precise, production-ready designs using AutoDesk Inventor, focusing on steel sheet metal components and large-scale mechanical assemblies while collaborating with engineers and fabricators in a remote capacity across Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings in AutoDesk Inventor for steel sheet metal parts
- Design and detail large-scale mechanical assemblies for factory machinery
- Collaborate with engineers to convert concept designs into accurate, manufacturable drawings
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certificate in drafting, mechanical design, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a CAD drafter or designer in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical design environment
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor
- Experience in steel sheet metal design and large-scale assembly design
