Job Summary
Managing California and Oregon workers' compensation claims, the remote Senior Claims Specialist will investigate claims, determine compensability, negotiate settlements, and develop strategies for effective claim resolution while working Pacific Time Zone hours.
Key responsibilities
- Manage workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution
- Analyze claim facts, evaluate coverage, and establish reserves
- Negotiate settlements and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience, with California experience required
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws; Oregon knowledge is a plus
- Professional designations such as Associate in Claims (AIC) are preferred
- Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours and travel occasionally as needed
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with various internal and external contacts
