California AR Follow-Up Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Revenue Cycle Management department, the full-time California AR Follow-Up Specialist will manage timely follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable for California Medicare, Commercial, and Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring optimal reimbursement through proactive payer outreach and claim resolution in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform timely follow-up on claims to ensure prompt adjudication and reimbursement
• Conduct outreach to payers and case managers to verify claim status and documentation requirements
• Resolve claim rejections and underpayments while monitoring compliance with payer-specific timelines

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of AR follow-up experience, particularly with California Medicare and Commercial billing
• Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation billing and state regulations
• Experience with multiple EHR/Practice Management systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills in Microsoft Office applications
