California AR Team Lead

Job Summary

Managing day-to-day payment resolution activities, the fully remote California AR Team Lead will oversee post-billed denials, ensuring payment is received on denied accounts while serving as a coach and quality reviewer for AR Specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Analyzes and appeals denials, resolving payment delays and variances from rejected or denied claims
• Collaborates with clinical departments and stakeholders to support clinical denial appeals and resolve authorization issues
• Tracks denial types and root causes, recommending process improvements and preparing reports on trends and outcomes

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with at least two years of revenue cycle experience
• Hands-on experience working HB Medicare accounts, including denials, appeals, and payment variance resolution
• Experience with California payors, including familiarity with their contracts and appeal processes
• Experience using Epic software
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
