California Certified Extensive Needs Educator

Job Summary

To support virtual education for students with extensive needs, the fully remote California Certified Extensive Needs Educator will develop lesson plans, teach the curriculum, and engage students through relationship-focused strategies on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the school's curriculum on the district's virtual platform while developing aligned lesson plans
• Engage and nurture student learning through thoughtful, relationship-focused strategies
• Track student grades and performance, attending district PD sessions and faculty meetings as required

Required qualifications

• Active California Moderate to Severe teaching certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional educator
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet
• Participation in a virtual skills teaching demonstration and submission of a background check
