California Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

To support the financial leadership of a healthcare organization, the remote California Chief Financial Officer will manage financial activities, oversee budget preparation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while residing in California.

Key responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation and compliance of annual operating and capital budgets using a zero-based budgeting approach
• Directs financial reporting, analysis, and cash flow projections to support organizational objectives
• Negotiates and monitors government contracts and ensures adherence to financial policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
• At least four years of experience as a CFO in a health maintenance organization or eight years as a controller in the same field
• Four years of financial experience with Medi-Cal or other government entitlement programs
• Four years of supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license
