California Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a senior California Data Engineer for a remote contract opportunity, who will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows across various data platforms
- Develop solutions using tools such as Spark, PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, and Informatica
- Apply software engineering best practices and contribute to platform modernization initiatives
Required qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL ecosystems
- Proven experience with multiple data engineering tools and platforms
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, including unit testing and CI/CD
- Preferred experience with cloud-native data platforms and generative AI initiatives
