Job Summary
To support data management initiatives, the full-time Data Warehouse Specialist will find and resolve data quality issues, perform ad-hoc data pulls, and design new views and tables in BigQuery while working onsite in La Jolla, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and resolve data quality problems and monitor nightly batch jobs for analytic tables
- Perform data discovery on new sources being integrated into the data lake
- Create data dictionaries and documentation for data management processes
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in data management or a related position
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and advanced SQL skills, including DML
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery and Google Cloud Data Fusion
- Knowledge of data privacy concerns such as PII, HIPAA, and GDPR
