California HR Business Partner

Job Summary

Acting as a strategic partner to people managers, the full-time California HR Business Partner will oversee performance management and compensation strategies, support employee relations, and facilitate training programs while working primarily remotely with occasional in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Coach people managers through performance conversations and team dynamics to enhance their leadership effectiveness
• Own and evolve performance management and compensation strategies to align with company growth and business objectives
• Manage employee relations issues and conduct workplace investigations, providing consistent guidance in line with company policies

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in an HR Business Partner role
• Proven experience in compensation administration and performance management methodology design
• Experience managing employee relations and conducting workplace investigations independently
• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence people managers effectively
• Based in the San Diego, CA area with the ability to be in-person 2-4 days per month preferred
