California HR Generalist

Job Summary

Owning the people processes in a growing organization, the full-time California HR Generalist will manage onboarding, reviews, hiring, and employee relations while working remotely and supporting multi-state compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the onboarding and offboarding processes for a remote team
• Manage the review cycle mechanics, timing, and follow-through to ensure consistency
• Handle day-to-day employee relations, addressing policy questions and scheduling conflicts

Required qualifications

• Three or more years as an HR generalist, with experience as the sole HR person or one of two
• Direct experience with California employment law and exposure to multi-state employment
• Proven ability to run a full hiring process and review cycle independently
• Strong documentation habits and the ability to maintain accurate records over time
• U.S. person status, required by the nature of the organization's work
