California HR Generalist

Job Summary

Supporting designated geographic regions with a primary focus in California, the full-time remote California HR Generalist will manage HR-related duties including employee relations, onboarding, and compliance with employment laws.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer HR plans and procedures, including the preparation and maintenance of the employee handbook
• Conduct new employee orientations and manage employee relations counseling and exit interviews
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while supporting performance management processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant experience
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role, with a focus on California employment law
• Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices and employee relations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
