California Law Clerk
Job Summary
Supporting the Southern California Staff Counsel team, the part-time California Law Clerk will conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and assist attorneys with case materials in a remote environment, working approximately 20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analyze relevant laws and court decisions
- Prepare briefs, legal memoranda, and responsive pleadings as needed
- Assist attorneys in preparing trial documents and attend court sessions or depositions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Second or third-year law student with an interest in civil litigation, personal injury, or insurance defense
- Experience drafting motions and legal documents
- Availability for approximately 20 hours per week during the semester
