Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Insurance Programs, the full-time California Licensed Actuary will build and maintain pricing, reserving, and performance analysis for Roamly's insurance programs while working remotely and collaborating with various departments to drive data-informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop initial rating structures and pricing models for new insurance programs, including economic modeling and scenario analysis
- Produce recurring performance reports and dashboards for program reviews, investigating trends and providing actionable recommendations
- Prepare loss data and analytical support for carrier submissions and reinsurance placements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Required Qualifications
- ACAS, FCAS, or equivalent actuarial experience
- 4+ years of experience in P&C actuarial roles, preferably in personal or commercial auto insurance
- Strong technical skills in ratemaking, loss reserving, and trend analysis
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (Python or R)
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field
