Job Summary
Supporting the review and processing of workers' compensation appeal cases, the full-time California Licensed Appeals Administrator will analyze medical case information, ensure documentation accuracy, and assist in the independent medical review process in a fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and enter medical case information while maintaining updated knowledge of project policies and procedures
- Function as a Subject Matter Expert in specific process areas and respond to inquiries regarding case status and the appeals process
- Collect and analyze data from various stakeholders to input necessary information into the system
Required qualifications
- Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience
- Proficiency in computer usage, including web-based applications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, medical office administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing and processing medical records
- Knowledge of medical terminology and established guidelines for meeting objectives and deadlines
