California Licensed Applied Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing security consulting team, a full-time California Licensed Applied Security Engineer will partner with Fortune 500 organizations to address security concerns, develop reference architectures, and conduct threat modeling exercises, all while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customer security and engineering teams to address security concerns and facilitate platform adoption
• Develop customer-facing security reference architectures and perform threat modeling for ServiceNow products and deployments
• Analyze security architectures across cloud-native and distributed systems environments, leading deep dives into various security domains

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, security architecture, or related disciplines
• Strong understanding of core security principles, including identity management, network security, and secure software development
• Experience assessing and securing cloud-native architectures and familiarity with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficient in conducting threat modeling using frameworks such as STRIDE or ATT&CK
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including executives
