California Licensed Associate Attorney

Job Summary

Seeking a California Licensed Associate Attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense experience, particularly in employment defense, to join a hybrid/remote position where the attorney will independently manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials while developing compelling case strategies and collaborating with a high-performing legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop compelling case strategies that drive results and challenge mediocrity
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials
• Mentor junior attorneys and maintain professional communication with clients

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active California bar license
• 3-7 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy and trial preparation
• 2+ years of employment defense experience strongly preferred
• Prior insurance defense experience preferred
