California Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

Providing legal counsel and services, the full-time California Licensed Associate General Counsel will support the organization's mission while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and managing legal risks, with the option for remote work available for applicants in registered states.

Key responsibilities:

• Offer legal advice and services in coordination with the General Counsel and Legal Department
• Assist in navigating legal compliance and managing legal risks for the organization
• Engage with outside counsel and provide practical legal solutions to in-house clients

Required qualifications:

• US Juris Doctorate or foreign equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in a major global law firm
• Solid foundation in legal theories and experience with cross-border legal matters
• Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in a second language is advantageous
• Experience with nonprofit organizations and exposure to developing countries is preferred
