California Licensed Associate Medical Director

Job Summary

Supporting the medical management staff, the full-time California Licensed Associate Medical Director in Genetic Testing will ensure timely clinical case reviews, make medical necessity determinations, and facilitate physician communication while working remotely with occasional in-person training sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures timely completion of clinical case reviews for board-certified specialties
• Makes physician-to-physician calls to gather necessary medical information for decision-making
• Determines medical necessity for grievances and appeals relevant to their specialty

Required qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification from ABMS or AOA
• Active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine
• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
