California Licensed Benefits Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a temporary basis, the California Licensed Benefits Specialist will manage the operational link between brokers and carriers for new and renewing group health and benefits cases, including building censuses, running final quotes, and tracking cases through carrier approvals.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitors receipt of new and renewing cases and logs all cases in internal systems
- Confirms Agent/Agency appointments and follows up with carriers to obtain approvals and policy numbers
- Assists in generating carrier quotes and maintains standard operating procedures for censuses and installations
Required qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years related administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and working knowledge of Salesforce
- Good understanding of group insurance and carrier procedures
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute
