California Licensed Charge Specialist
Job Summary
As a key member of the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time California Licensed Charge Specialist will ensure Chargemaster compliance with coding and billing regulations, serve as a liaison for hospital inquiries, and provide training on CDM processes, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Chargemaster maintenance requests and ensure adherence to PSJH System standards
- Respond to inquiries from hospital ministries regarding Chargemaster issues and provide training to staff
- Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with coding standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
- 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of billing requirements and coding principles
- 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
- 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
- Driving may be necessary; proof of driver license and auto insurance required upon request
