California Licensed Chief Privacy Officer

Job Summary

Leading the global privacy strategy, the full-time California Licensed Chief Privacy Officer will oversee the company's privacy program, ensuring compliance with privacy, AI, and data protection laws while managing a dedicated team and collaborating with various stakeholders in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee regulatory compliance for privacy, data, and AI governance, including managing data privacy impact assessments and data subject rights requests
• Identify gaps in existing privacy programs and develop new processes to ensure effective compliance with evolving regulations
• Act as a key advisor to executives on privacy-related matters, fostering cross-functional cooperation and communication throughout the organization

Required qualifications:

• Law degree with at least 10 years of relevant privacy experience, including significant in-house experience
• Global privacy expertise with knowledge of major privacy regulations and industry standards, particularly in the SaaS B2B sector
• Strong technical competence in privacy, AI, and data security-related features and functionalities
• Outstanding relationship management skills with a collaborative leadership style
• Proven strategic problem-solving abilities and excellent legal and business judgment
